I use Strelok, it was free and works well. Plenty of other options around too.
Strelok is good, they have a free and a paid version. Also many are using 'Shooter' which works well and has the 'Litz' validated BC info for various long range projectiles, small cost of about $10 from memory.
I use Shooter these days, but have tested it side by side with Strelok and there was nothing in it, it will just come down to the different 'look and feel' of the apps, as to what you prefer.
Strelok works well for me, does everything I need it to do.
It usually says the same as what Shooter or JBM ballistics (online) says.
strelok is good, never let me down.

Use to use shooter them went to applied ballistics and have no complaints
Strelok pro. It works well for me.
And for that reason I haven't tried anything else
Also use shooter aswell but have used strelok too and it's fine just a little clunky for me. Had bullet flight to the expensive one was OK but to many frills and whistles for what I do. Shooter works for me and is very straight foward
strelok pro for me.
Applied ballistics for me as shooter doesnt work as it should in my samsung s4 phone.
The ab app is great as it gets updated with new pills with litz g7 bc pretty reguarly
So strelok std and shooter seem highly/liked used, sounds like the place to start.

One of the reasons I didnt get a Samsung phone/tablet were similar comments on compatibility (having bought a Samsung TV and found its software sucked I just didnt want to repeat that), Caldwell also said they had tested the Asus 8inch with no issues and it was only $100US, no phone/3g capability but that seems to push the costs up hugely and I dont need it, the samsung was also $50+us more.
Steven, I originally got the free strelok to try out. Then purchased the pro version as it had a lot more reticle options. (It was about 2year ago iIRC)Quote:

The free one has heaps of reticles, but only gives each reticle at full magnification. Pro one gives you numbers for the reticle at any magnification. There are probably other differences too, but thats one I've noticed.

None of the ones I have used are particularly user friendly when it comes to mixing imperial & metric units
Strelok was recommended to me by Stacey at Hamills Tauranga and it does everything I've needed. Haven't used anything else so can't compare

Sorry to bring up an old thread but rather than start a new one. For the users of Strelok Pro how do I factor in my 20MOA base into calculations? Maybe a dumb question but can't seem to find anything with Professor Google.
Shooter works for me.
Only problem I have with it is I have changed my step increments in the settings but the thing only scrolls 1 m at a time.
Frustrating if in a hurry😆

Have Shooter on a very old Ipod. Have been happy with it. Running a Samsung tablet nowadays - installed Shooter and it immediately crashed (yeh, it could be my device). Tried emailing Sean for advise but never ever got a reply. Piss poor. Initiated a refund which at least you can do on Android.Quote:

I have had all of them and litz is the one for me.
I just reloaded shooter after a year and not fixed.
It dosent update the bullet library either as didnt have the 285 amax like litz ab has.
Shooter is on the way out.
Litz and tod hodnet are doing a bit of work with our boys in nz

Yep you can email or print the trajectory table.
Bryan litz developed this software and he is recognised as been at the fore front of long range shooting as well he actually is a rocket scientist!
I use it because he actually walks the talk and $35 bucks is pretty cheap to get all the latest G7 values as he tests them independently as well

tried Strelok free . . then got the Pro & + models to try . . the + model is my go to choice, fast to use ( which is real handy when your constantly updating range using subsonic 30cal ) good layout, others i looked at seemed awkward in comparison . . and very fast email replys if you have any questions.
Possibly a silly question, but, what reticule do you put in if you are using a standard Duplex with dial up?
