    Whats the secret

To getting 27gr's of ADI 2208 into a 223 rem case.

Recommended starting load is 25 gr's
Recommended maximum load is 27 gr's *compressed
Even the 26 gr load is a *compressed load.

The most I have been able to get into a case to date is 25.4 gr's "weighed"

    Thanks

get a bit of brass tubing that will slide easily inside the case neck get it flared out a bit at one end to get it to snugly fit inside the spout of the funnel, dump powder down the drop tube and it will get the powder to settle a bit better in the case.

I use Remington and lapua match 223 brass, and 27 to 27.5g of 2208, trickling the granules into the case slowly while tapping the case often helps to lower the powder column height
It is a compressed load that often requires 4 thou neck tension.
A long throated rifle like a tikka or sako will allow you to seat your projectiles out closer to mag length, giving you more case capacity.
What rifle/projectile combination are you using?

Wet the powder, it will pack down better
If its guns, tits or tyres it's going to cost you lots of money

I personally think 2208 is way too slow for 223 - 2206H is more than slow enough for the heavy pills IMO

I thought I would give the load you recomended a go 7mm

    Min 25 g ADI 2208
    Max 27 g ADI 2208

Nosler 60g partition bullets. The brass used is a variety I have collected over the years.

The rifle is a Sako but it has a true flite barrel fitted. It doesnt appear to have a long throat.

    G'Day Fella's,

Scribe, you need one of my (Not Yet Patented) Thingo's!
Most recently, I have been using a Proto-Type of this, to squeze 94 grains of powder into a .340 Weatherby case!

Other than that, I use a slightly faster powder (ADI AR-2206 x 26grains) in my .223's.
Unfortunately, this great .223 & .308 powder, is no longer available!

    Double Doh!!

    I'm with Spanners, I use 2206h for everything .223.
Currently use it for 65gn Sierra Gamekings and 69gn Sierra Matchkings.
    Welcome to Sako club.

Bench mark 2 , easy to throw and not have to measure each time in comparison to a granular powder --fast for the ar15 that shoots left -right -up down and sometmes centre
