Thanks DAF. When I looked the chrony up it said somthing about 110 volt supply and I could find nothing on a battery. I still like how the Oehler takes three readings per shot and averages them out. I am inclined to go that way as I know they are as accurate as you can get. Yup they are dear but hopefully I only buy it once.

As I understand it the 35 takes 2 readings,the first is the primary reading which is printed and the second is used as a proof.If it varies outside the parameters from the first reading it flashes a warning. With 4ft screen spacings the margin of error is listed at 31fps for a bullet in the 3000fps range.So if the primary error is 30fps then the proof channel wont indicate it as an error.Not sure if these parameters are adjustable though.
