As per Stug. You may also find rifle primers are not helping your cause. I had a problem loading my 32/20 - unburnt powder present in the barrel. Even with crimping this occurred. Changed to a pistol primer (less ferocious blast) and much improved. Your powder selection may also be an issue. There is a member of this forum that loads blanks. He may come fwd with his view.
