Your favorite 223 powder
Ok so reloading kit nearly complete.... just the consumables to buy.
I've used BM2 before with good results but looking at the Gunworks website there's plenty of other choices,so the question is
Whats your preferred powder for the .223
Rifle being used is a
Tikka T3 , 1-12 twist with a 17.5 inch barrel, will be used for varmint shooting 40 - 55gr projectiles: http://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.n...ed/36_1_11.gif

2206h for the lights
2208 for the heavies

Belmont Action Rifle 7% faster than Win748
Win 748.
Ball powders meter better from my Chargemaster.

BM2 or another that went well is H335

2206h for up to 65 which is as heavy as my rifle will spin. Did a ladder with bm2, 2207, 2208 and 2206h. Tightest groups were with the 06h and they also had the lowest speed es. So for me it was a no brainer.

2206H for me, it pushes some projectiles out to a very nice accurate distance for the rabbits demise.
-
2206h
or 748 (cause its cheap)

There is also the new benchmark 8208 which must be better cos it's new.
Interesting reading the comments. I started on 2206H because it was the load that came with the rifle and have since changed to BM2 cos it's the classic 223 powder. I might have to go back and retry 2206H with my 50g vmax projectiles.

BM2. Just coz it works in my .223 bolt and AR with 50-62 grn projectiles.

BM2 for me, was using it on my Tikka T3 19" barrel and 65gn SGK and 69gn SMK very successfully, i did start use 2208 for these projectiles on my AR15.
