Zero Atmoshpere Data in Shooter App

    Hi there,

Does any one use this? If so is there any benefit to it?

I may not even understand what it does so correct me if I'm wrong.

So I zero my rifle and input all the conditions from that session (baro, temp etc.) against the projectile used. Then if zero atmosphere is enabled it will make corrections from my zero atmosphere data based on the new current atmosphere data?

it's mainly used for when ya have much longer zeros like 500 or 600

I would expect this is correct. Say you zero'd on top of Mt Cook, it would mess everything else up wouldn't it at lesser altitude. Zero is you reference, so any change has to be with respect to a reference, not a random default value.
Im unsure the default zero conditions Shooter uses but it's not like its hard to input.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

WRONG. Zero atmosphere is for when you are transferring through the matrix and have to shoot while momentarily suspended in a vacuum

At 100 yds the difference in atmosphere will make bugger all difference, but at 500 to 600 atmosphere has a much larger effect on trajectory.

If you have zero atmosphere it would suggest that you are in space. Do not shoot! Would be worse than shooting in and aircraft.

But yes, I've done it with Strelock as it gives the base conditions for your data so that it can allow for variation for your actual shooting conditions.

Can't hurt, will be more accurate, but you will only notice the difference at 600 yds plus probably. If you are regularly shooting 800 -1000 yds then do it.

From my understanding the zero atmosphere should be irrelevant to the distance you zero at. It is the atmospheric condition you shot your zero at, regardless. Its a reference that all calculations will be based from. If you can enter it, why would you not.
