Thread: Bergara BMR Carbon Ammo

Hi guys, I have just purchased the above rifle in 17HMR. Given rimfire rifles appetite for certain ammo to get the best accuracy what is anyone using with this rifle? My brother has the same rifle in 22 mag and it loves the Hornady 30gr V-Max.

I had the BMR steel version, same rifle but steel barrel not the carbon one. I just fed it whatever the farmer had purchased for me. It shot well with everything from the Hornady 17gr ballistic tips through to the Remington 17gr hollow points .
I really liked mine, good trigger, good ergo's and accurate. I was hitting stuff out to 190mtrs plus on still days if I did my part.

Mine shoots well with the 17gr VMAX - all the brands are the same. Sounds like they aren't too fussy though

Thanks guys that gives me some confidence. I have a bunch of older CCI A17 and Hornady V-Max I will start with.

How did you get on with ammo, I just got the same rifle
