No where handy. Rabbits have all but disappeared here. Used to be excellent rabbit shooting on most riverbeds but floods and virus have wiped them out. I was near the blaketown rugby grounds not long ago and seen shitloads but a bit close to houses etc.

I know it well. Dont really know what's happened and why it hasn't recovered like other areas but it has been pretty sad for bunnys here for a while.
I still get get enough for the slow cooker when I want but it can be a chore

Talk to the Pughs at Turawhati (spelling)
Where the single lane bridge is before Atkins.
You can access the riverbed from the creeks and hunt away from the quarry.

That's about your limit. Bugger all rabbits north of the Taramakau unless that's changed-dunno about the south. Had a couple of mates that did the rabbits at Turawhati (had to look it up myself). Never realised they got to decent number there
Never tried myself-to far for a couple of bunnies-did my first rabbit shoot down at Alex for the Easter bunny shoot (too far lol) got bugger all-first shoot after the calcivirus. @R93 that's a surprise to hear they are in Blaketown
