Looking for a new scope. Main uses bunny busting at up to / past 400m and general range use.
What type to get, the choice seems endless!!

Fine duplex...
Are you going to be dialling, or do you want to use holdover ?
Wheres the opening a can of worms smiley?:D
A men to that! fine duplex small game id guess but itd the ford vs holden queston mate! my advice is to read up and try what you think might work.If it works you kmow why if it dosnt you know why!!!!
Perhaps you could progress to a Kahles. 4-18-50 TT
Optical clarity second to none, tactical dialable turrets, 4x for versatility and up to 18x for those animals aways out there.
There is no cheap path to precision Long Range shooting.
And let's face it, often your experience of a rifle is determined by the view you have through its scope, you could have an average Hubertus on a Sako and hate using it, and a superb Kahles on a Stirling and have a pleasant afternoon.
Skimping on a scope only ensures a mediocre experience every time you pick it up.
Leupy vx 3 8-25x50 is my go to varmint scope with duplex:)
Neckshot ya drunk fukr your head will hurt in the morn.:)
You should consider a Burris Ballistic Plex 4.5-14 32mm for less than $300 US. We have been banging metal gongs out to 600 meters without touching a knob. Get the Strelok app for your Google based phone and you will have all you need, and you won't have to run away, run away.:D
If it was me I'd get another 4.5x14Lr leupy with the fine cross hair and get one with the turrets or put the Low profile M1's on it.
A cheaper alternative though heavier would be to import one of the Weaver superslams, x15 with the duplex or the bigger one if your keen on the dot.
Not being smart here but if your shooting to 400 or even a couple of hundred more you'll never need 20x to get there.
Thanks guys, Finally brought a NXS 5.5-22 x 56 with NP-R1 reticule. Not the cheapest but I always wanted one
Hell of a scope for shooting 400 yard rabbits.:)
Enjoy.
that is what i am using on my 22.250 with the varmint reticle.
i have used the reticle out to 500 and is long as its been calibrated and verified is very acccurate.
The vx3 also seems to have very good glass for the price and dials reliably as well.
apparently they are the same internals as the mk4
Photo !

I reckon it's gotta be worth a photo Mikee, come on, it'll look great.
ok ok, no laughing though, Shoulda taken the sunshade off the scope, would have looked more "balanced"
Attachment 11790
Good one Mikee, bloody nice scope.
Of course you'll be able to, always good to have a backup plan.
I have a Pm 11 mounted on a Finnlight, it looks a bit imbalanced to say the least, however the combo works fine
It does look a bit odd but hey it will do the job:thumbup:

how big is the tube diameter on that? plain jayne 30mm or is it something PITA like 34mm?
seriously wanting to step into that class of scope.
I just wish I had rich mates that had one so I could see them in action
