Workmate txt me up last night, he was goin out to service some gear this morning thought I'd jump on as our boys down the hill been seeing a lot of pig sign. Snuck down the track at about 6am and found a good spot to check out the face at first light.
Looking back up the hill at my hauler.
Anyway nothing showed up and the clock was ticking so I took a ridge up through the native, I knew it was going to be noisey, bloody supple jack and pungas, not to mention fucken steep. Thats the good thing about chasing wallabies in the scrub though you can make plenty of noise, they jump up when you get right onto them, run 10m and stop to look back.
This bugger would probly be the biggest buck I've shot, no more than 15m in the scrub delivered 163gr of .308hp to the shoulder "Thats for Coach Deans you bouncy little barstad." Whipped the back wheels off as the mrs has been onto me about trying it and I'm a bit curious myself.
Anyway got back to the truck, workmate still had an hour to go so figured I wouldn't waste my weekend pass so told the mate meet him at the road next ridge over. So I set off to try my hand at some LR magpies and plover in our old cut over. Epic fail.
Sitting beside the road waiting for my ride and watching a couple of bunnies chase each other round the face, nek minnit one was on top of the other an they were going at it like...well...Rabbits!! then after about 10 seconds they both just like flopped on the ground, almost looked like temporary paralysis, haha wtf is it that good for rabbits??? Gutted I didn't get the camera into video mode fast enough it was fucken hilarious!
