    with enough force it will work.
    i was telling this old guy about this method. he understood what i was saying, as his son is a police man and he went to an accident where a cyclist was holding onto a logging truck getting a free ride. the cyclist went under the truck. and the exact same "rabbit" thing happened to him.

    AAAAh that's sick!

    I tried it with possum and the amount of force you need is ridiculous! I think they need to be really thin skinned for it to be easy.
