    Eating Central Otago Rabbit?

    Hey everybody!

I have recently started hunting rabbit around Cromwell and have heard rumours that the rabbits around there haven't been safe to eat since the release of the virus in the area.

I was wondering if anyone could shed some insight on this?

    Thanks!

I am not a South Islander but the release was a long time ago. I would check the liver and if it looks healthy I wouldn't have a problem eating the rabbit.

Yep, all good. I've eaten plenty and hasn't done me any harm.

Yeah, but it keeps the sun off the bald spot in summer, a little warmer in winter and I can still hear OK. Function over form for me.

Mrs gadget was looking over my shoulder this afternoon. Remarked how it was such a good likeness.
