The roundabout at Christchurch Airport - next to the infamous Sudima Hotel - has had a lot of rabbits too.
My son & I counted 17 on one visit to the airport.
The little blighters would sit there and wave at passing motorists.

It's a bit of grass just next to the Mana MacDonalds. Was waiting to get onto SH1 when the kids notice a horde of bunnies out munching on the grass.
I just recently moved into the area. Have noticed the poison signs at the lights but still been seeing a few bunnies around. Have also been seeing a few quail on the grass just outside the police college on my way home in the last week or so.
Yeah there seems to be a lot of quail around across Whitby at the moment.
