    Goat Bait

    Hey guys

Been asked to clear out a 400 hectare pine block from goats and anything else thats not welcome as they gonna plant it soon.

We have shot out most of everything but there are still a few goats around that we just cant get on to without a lot of effort due to terrain, has anyone ever been successful in luring or baiting goats? If so, how did you do it.

    Cheers

Im guessing that the surrounding area has goats as well and they will be spreading out to polpulate the "vacancies" you create, so the last few will take bloody ages. Most forestry ops want 100% removal but accept that 98 is realistic. Hares seem to require more effort than goats and can be just as destructive.

Could try a salt lick or something like some beets as a bait.
