    gopher's with the .17 fireball.

Been out this summer in Canada doing sum gopher shooting, Picked up a old Sako in .17 fireball, and with a bit of hand loading have 25gr v-max @ 3800fps, giving 1/2" groups at 100m. 20gr v-max at 4200fps for the same. most accurate firearm I own.
what are called gophers up here are Richard ground squirrel's. about the size of a Rat.
Farmers hate them, dig holes all over the paddocks, and hard on both crop and pasture. Even worse is the badgers digging them out, making even bigger holes.
Been shoot about 50-75 a day when out, and with the fireball, tears them apart and good to 300m, with the 25gr great in windy conditions.

Nice too see pests being hunted from overseas. Looks like the farmer will be happy.
