Thread: Gutted

Greendog243, bambislammer and I decided to head off to a place I used to work in Atiamuri last night to go for a possum shoot with a good chance of getting a pig or two while we were at it as they had ended up with a pig problem in a paddock that was regrassed. Before going to the property I had rang ahead and arranged with property owners father and was given the green light to go down for a shoot. We got there to find that the owners neighbours had decided to turn up as well and went where we were intending to go so we had to pack our centerfires away and hunt only a small area of the farm for a few possums so time and gas got wasted in travelling an hour for two possums each, don't know if the other shooters had called and made arrangements also as I was not made aware of any other people being present on the property at the same time as us. Time to look for other properties to go possum hunting on I think.
