Hare retrieved by lab x hunterway

Took my lab X hunterway with me to the river tonight and we both saw a hare in the long grass just as it ducked down.

It was blowin a friggen gale and couldn't keep the xhairs off the scope on it from the quad.

So layed down on the sheltered side of the quad to fire the shot and "Bolt" the dog is used to firearms but still a little shy as I lay down to take the shot I could feel him hovering over me when I squeezed the trigger.

I saw the hare drop in the long grass but was unsure if Bolt saw it. Gave him the retrieve whistle command. and he found it no worries.Like a champ

Well done Dundee. Tell me, is a Labrador cross Huntaway commonly called a Labaway or a Huntador? Ha ha ha ha
Toby, kiwi39 and mrs dundee like this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

now dundee ive got a labx hunterway x like yours ;JJ by name ,tho ive called him every other title under the sun!
he's 8yrs old ,Thinks GSP follower is the best thing since sliced bread and canned piss, refuses to pick up anything ive shot "bugger you -you shot the bloody thing ,your carry it" and loves eating timber out of my man cave.
must be bloody scottish blood in him cause im still waitin for him to shit a hunk of plywood!
For the purposes of the exercise and to impress those who send him mutton bones etc he insists i tell people hes by "roman catholic x opportunity",tho we still cant figure out which was the roamin catholic and who saw the opportunity.!
Good now ive got your sympathies
    CAN WE XCHANGE BLOODY DOGS??????????
OK OK -it was a long shot but i thought not!

PS- UMMMMMM-has BOLT actually ever shot his bolt to your knowledge .JJ-nup fires blanks ,but mostly he be too tired to even think about it!
two barks and he has to have a liedown

Kotuku,Bolt hasn't had a chance to fire away yet as the bitches get locked up smartly when on heat.

He is a noisy bugger with the quad but great when hunting or fishing. NO you can't have him.
