    New scope advice

Gidday Team i have purchased 22wmr and the scope that came with is a lower budget 3-9x40.
Thinking of upgrading but not sure to what, What are you guys/girls running on your WMR's?

if it works..leave it alone...you wont need any more for 99% of what you will do with a wmr....... if MUST spend some coin get loopy freedom in the same as you already have.

Yep. I've always run a sub $200 scope on my rimfires. All I can afford. All I can say is, the guys with glass 5 times more, that I have hunted with, don't do 5x better than me.

the freedom idea holds merit then
FWIW my two .22lrs have a fixed 6 x kahles... and a smaller fixed 3x loopy on them had fixed 6x loopy on that was awesome, but pinched it for the trebly.

I run a Tasco 2-7 x 32 Rimfire scope on my Marlin 795. Brilliant bang for buck, in my budget.

Have just done thorough test of WMR for couple of years. Its range is usually out to 125m or so and you really don't need to spend alot on optics for this. Mine had a Tasco World Class 4-16x40AO and that was ideal on range and in the field. You can spend alot on a brand name scope but I assure you that it will not help you shoot more bunnies.

Here's my Tasco shooting on Marlin WMR at 50m. @gadgetman shot it in with bottom group, then I told him I wanted it 1" high of centre. He said "do it yourself", so I did next group - top one with 3 shots. You won't beat this spending hundreds more on scopes. Good reliable scopes for rimfires are Tasco, Nikko Stirling, Bushnell Banner, Simmons. Note - Tasco and Simmons are both owned by Bushnell these days. Recent little Tasco 3-9x40 I had was a wee gem.

I've seen people running high end Kahles and Schmidt & Bender scopes on 22lr's. And others running fixed 4x Tasco's on 270's.

Get whatever scope you want that gives you enough magnification to see what you're aiming at and hold an accurate point of aim on it, at whatever range that might be. The cartridge doesn't really matter.

Vixen in 3-12 or 4-16 is awesome. Not too spend, but clear. It also has parallax adjustment and my model has the BDC reticle.

Parallax adjustable preferable, or fixed at 50yds for anything over 9x

Love my 3-12 but got a 4 to 16 last week for the parralax as it's going to serve as a nite hunter with a pard.
