    New to Trapping possum any advice?!!

    Hi
    Ive started trapping possum and was wanting some tips and tricks
    Im using leg hold traps they have BB printed on plate not sure what kind they are Im catching a few but on the second night not getting hardly any at all, Im using cinnamon lure just got me some of that blue stuff as well to use as its been a bit wet should I use one flavor on frist night and then another on second night, i work full time so I havent got time to move traps every night I leave them bout 3 nights then move Im in whangarei northland if that helps

    How close are your traps mate? and how many are you setting at night.Bait isn't the problem you can use nothing and if you have got your traps in the right place they will still hook on.Maybe try to split your trap spots into two areas.Areas were you have high success and areas you want to explore for numbers.and mybe just leave your traps for two nights instead of three.Hope you have some success mate good luck.If you havnt already there is heaps of trapping info in the varmit section on here.

    Hi I got bout 30 total in two diffent areas Ive put then on well worn trees with heaps of sign. Umm they are quite far apart Im getting a few in frist night then not much at all.Thanks Heaps
