Took some young 'uns for a walk around the yard last night to shoot a few possums, first one was about 20 metres from the door! Just under an hour and a half later we had 18 possums, all plucked, and at that point a warm comfy bed was sounding real good. Eighteen possums in an area of about 700 sq metres, just under 90 minutes so 5 minutes per possum. 1.45kg of fur, 12.5 possums per kg, $8 per possum. Not too shabby for an evenings work. The kids loved it, mostly one shot kills, and boy could they find possums in the trees.
