As long as you don't pluck too close to its butt I would say it's as clean as you will get it .
Winter possums are in great condition and i would think they spend countless hours cleaning themselves.

I have done 8kgs so far this winter through the traps and some thermal / spotlighting.
Trap lines are tapering off so will start spotlighting some higher areas now.

Or just seal it in a plastic bag with some moth balls for a couple of weeks.
Then stick it in the freezer for a couple of weeks also.
That's how we get rid of silver fish from old document.

My Mum used to jam the pukeko and hares in the door jam, and I think just pull, it was a few years ago and I should of taken more notice. But I do see on google you can buy a sinew puller. Hope that helps @Sarvo.

    Hey Pengy,

I realise this is an old post but if you can still get these I'd be keen on a few?

    Cheers
