    Rabbit for Income?

I'm a U.S. resident who has heard tales of rabbit hunting for dog food companies and other assorted distributors.

Really, I'm just a college student who wouldn't mind the better part of a year off hunting critters in NZ.

Does anyone do this or know anyone who does? Is it a worthwhile/sustainable venture?

    Thanks.

Also, I love the community on this forum. Happy hunting.

I ate Rabbit and Rice saving for my first house, 5 years and I was there, man I appreciated my own place after that !!!

I still like Rabbit simmered in cream until it reduces to a thick paste on the meat, clean white rice on the side with a little butter on top.

Thanks man. Luckily, I'm not looking to support a family or any large payments. Just a bachelor lifestyle.
Seems as if they're only dealing in possums, though, and I have no experience hunting them...

I come from the great state of Texas. If people would pay for feral hogs here I would be in business.

Do you guys get many users from the U.S.?

There certainly are a few on here from the states (and the rest of the world as well) and it is gaining momentum. We welcome the stories that come from them as the hunting is quite different in terms of species and terrain so we enjoy hearing about it.
