Just went out to see what the dogs were barking at armed with the torch. They were parked under an apple tree with a rat sitting on a branch at my eye level. Smacked him with the Maxtoch, job done. Dogs weren't that interested once he was dead.

There you are Brian (@gadgetman) - we didn't think of that use when designing these torches.
Have to change the name - to Smacktoch ... or Ratstoch ...or...
The important thing is to hold the head in your hand and hit with the battery tube.
