Sauer 202 in .223 - some varmint setup advice please

    Hello everyone,
I want to convert my Sauer 202 in .223 from a fallow hunting rig to a central Otago bunny busting rig. Basically needs a new scope, suppressor/threading and bipod, which has proven impossible to source.

SAMPLE PHOTO - mine doesn't have a fluted barrell.
My Kimber 84M (fluted) in .204 with a Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50 has served me very well but now my mates want to come with me - hence the upgrade to the Sauer. I'm looking for something similar to this kind of set up.
I'm open to suggestions but do have a mild preference for Leupold ... so ... what say y'all?
    Scope ...?
    Suppressor/threading ...?
    Bipod ...?
    Cheers GuNZrrr

What is special about the bipod that it is impossible to source?

There is no swivel attachment point on the bottom side of the fore-end. Rather if you look at the picture above, you can see that the swivel fits in the end of the fore-end (ie facing the target). It comes out by pushing the end (small button) of it which de-pressures a spring that withdraws a couple of ball bearings & then pops out. The other swivel operates in the same fashion.
I think the only option is to have a gunsmith install a second swivel attachment screw where most rifles have them. The stock is thinner that a normal wooden fore-end, but I'm sure it cam be done.

Now 204 you wont go wrong, this I know.
I use a bipod that I purchased from HandF and have had no issues with it.
I have a 4-12x40 Bushnell scope on it and
have a carbon fibre suppressor on it which was done through Status Guns and engineering Invercargill.
I also use a carbon fibre one on my 308 as well, ( just some useless info )
If you like Leupold scopes then stick with that you certainly cant go wrong.
    Just my thoughts from experience.
I also load my own rounds as well and that makes a big difference.
The 204 is one great little weapon when set up correctly so fill your boots the world is your oyster.
My suppressor on my 204 is full barrel

Wonder if something like this could be installed in place of the current swivel stud? I have a Javelin mount and picatinny mount for this one. I was intending on installing it in a stock of mine but have changed my bipods around so don't really need it anymore.

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more
