Set a challenge for Possum Trapper

Mrs Dundee comes home from a holiday tommorrow. The house is a friggen mess.

Spotted a black rabbit tonight and said to PT if you clean this mess up I will get my taxidermist to mount it for him.

    House is clean now.

We managed the dishwasher twice but farcanal the laundry stinks

The deal is he has to find the black rabbit after I tell him the location.

And has to be shot with VC's slug gun the boys won of this forum NZHS

Had dinner served tonight just what I ordered burnt toast vegemite and cheese & watties sauce

Seems you got the good end of that deal Dundee. PT does all the work. Smart thinking that man. Of course you do understand that you just condemned that black rabbit to a very short life.

It was a good call at the time Kotuku, PT has vanished again out hunting for 3 days and hasn't even ventured to where the black bunny is. I have been down there 4 times since and haven't seen it so safe call I think.

As for the possums I caught one on a third form trip in the 80's with hands at the hut on Mt Ngaurahoe and be headed it with the hut axe much to the horror of our students on the trip and skinned it salted it and brought the skin home. They all called me possum Dundee after that.

There is still a teacher at PT's school that was on that trip and he tells the story to all his new students.

brother and i trapped em for skins as kids in the early 60s.we bought our first watches(alphas @6'13s 6d) from our skin money at sutherlands jewellers in greymouth. dad got the bloke next door to teach us to skin jacket style -peel it off stretch it over a 4x2to dry.
remeber mums younger brother ,half pissed decapitating one in the washhouse at Mum&dads in moana.a twinbarrel salvo into a big brown screaming snarling face at 18"range sorted him.literally sent him through the roof planks and iron into the stratosphere.all our local playmets cam to our houseand we buried what remained in a tomato box.twas the talk of moana village that night!
those were the days.also those big transformers you used to get on power poles generated a lovely bang when mr jacko got a little amorous or decided its interesting and touched the wrong wires.another treat for moana!
