Reminds me of a few years back I had to carry a hind back across a steep little gully, had left her at the bottom and taken rifle and bag to top then gone back down to carry just her up with only a head lamp, young stag was following me up and moaning at me from about 20m wondering what i was doing with his girlfriend,no rifle no knife.
Got about 50m from the top dropped her and ran up to get rifle look round and he was gone.
