Got some gobblers lined up but I remember hearing that certain times of year they are no good for eating due to eating grubs?
And any tips on plucking? might even make me a indian hat:thumbsup:

Yeh I thought it might be about Mucko on a crate of Waikato. BF the theory is that any month with an R in it is not good for harvesting Turkey. On that basis now should be good. I reckon the theory is about when crickets are active and available as a food source to the Turkey's.
Hot water ..... Very hot .. Dunk them under....dead of course...pluck like fuck...they cum up smooth and white. Shoot them at nite while roosting they just sit there. Plug them in the head with a 22 they flap around but that's ok.
I remember hearing April? Not sure from who or where.....
Sounds good then, yea I hear they are pretty docile at night but we gunna have a crack in arvo/evening with the 12 gauge;)
I used to use a bamboo club, ambush then run them down, was a hell of a hoot :D
