    Turkey time

Got some gobblers lined up but I remember hearing that certain times of year they are no good for eating due to eating grubs?

And any tips on plucking? might even make me a indian hat

    Cheers

Yeh I thought it might be about Mucko on a crate of Waikato. BF the theory is that any month with an R in it is not good for harvesting Turkey. On that basis now should be good. I reckon the theory is about when crickets are active and available as a food source to the Turkey's.

Yep, it is possible to lop a Turkey's head off with hedge clippers when they are roosting at night.

Mate I have this mental image of that and it is making me chuckle. Can see your skinny knees up around your ears giving chase.
