Thread: Waiheke rabbits

Been over here for a few days for the missus 30th and just plain old too much leave owing. Had been told waiheke was free of possums and had imagined that it was free of rabbits too. Well, was killing an hour before the car ferry was due and drove up the East end of the island for a nosey, came round a corner and hello rabbits breaking left and right off the side of the road...

Anyone on here do any wabbit shooting on the island? There's a ton of open space on the various sheep farms and vineyards, any ins on some careful quiet spotlighting?
