Long time between drinks, got a call to cull a few hares last Friday from a developer having natives attacked.
Here’s where I join the @Pengy club. Got down to the bach, but forgot my ammo, then realised it was in a locked box in the gun room along with the bolt, mag and suppressor! Stuff the new rules!
Then on Sunday my wife sold our lounge suite to a guy and his wife, he’s a keen hunter and hunts locally. He kindly offered a .22 Ruger for a few days, so I followed him home and picked it up, then went to Hamills in Taupo and bought some ammo. Today I took a drive around the developing streets and nailed these two. The rifle is amazingly accurate for a pick up and shoot.

Possums have been hammering our orange trees

So put a ring of steel around them and had one in the traps each night

The little buggers eat the skin and a bit of the flesh and then start on another
