Thought I give you all the benefits of some new found wisdom.

Had a woman keen for some rabbit eradication of her equestrian centre, rabbits are everywhere, ‘sounds good’ so 3 of us spot lighted it, we saw 2 maybe 3 and cagey as, didn’t tolerate the spot light. Obliviously someone else had been having a crack at them. Told her there was not hugh problem.

Bought a entree level thermal monocular, so decide to have another look, rifle a PCP air rifle with a Sytong Night vision scope. So both of these unites I’m still learning how to use in complete darkness.
The Sytong scope with range finder, but it didn’t range in night vision, so first thing was I made a hash of distances and hold overs.

Thermal put up a dozen or more bunnies so I’m impressed, and they didn’t run, nailed a couple.

Equestrian paddocks have lots of jumps, and reflective items all over the place make good cover for rabbits.

Fumbling around in the dark , there was a while marker line so stepped over it and fuck me, a 3ft drop, mildly sprained an ankle but thank God I was wearing boots, so now I boot up even when I think it’s going to be stroll.

If there is something to trip me up I’ll bloody find it.

Get yourself a low power red head lamp for walking. Don't try to walk with the thermal or IR as they are 2D images and you will step into a hole for sure.
