Thread: 1080 Buffer zone

Hey everyone

So I’ve noticed that an area I’m keen to hunt has had a 1080 drop near by. I read on the DOC website that the buffer zone is 2km from 1080 boundary, the area I’m looking at is 8-10km away. My question is what distance from the zone would you hunt? And do you think 8-10km is too close? Cheers

yeah good luck -- my only advice is make sure ya well zeroed - and have a look at WAMs maps ( walking Access maps ) see what area looks like by bringing up the aerial photos works here one can see the clearings in the manuka
