    1080 drop back of Te Kumi Station Raukumara

    1080 is being spread from helicopters in part of block 2 yesterday and today, there is not a lot of signage and information so putting it here in case someone has plans to go up there over xmas

    Mate used to hunt there in the 70's. Big stags but says they have all migtrated to the forestry blocks. More tucker and better cover.

    Yea plenty of deer on stations, I've never found a lot a sign in the park

    yup used to be some real big buggers - one of the heaviest reds I have ever seen came of Te Kumi and was sold 403 lb - mate saw a big head of velvet sticking up in a patch of thistles back paddock - real big fat red stag

    They done the same at clements Rd, done a drop just before a big rainfall. They’re just keeping the gravy train going. It’ll mean they’ll have to have another drop. There needs to be an investigation into these aresoles. Tax payer money they are throwing around.

    I would have thought its a very strange time of year to do it if you are after a decent kill?
