1080 Drop Info - Central Nth Island

Planning a short fly in trip late July before sprog #2 arrives so I called Heli Sika specifically asking questions about where the dreaded green rain has been dropped (with private blocks in mind). They said they know as much as we do.

Any tips on where to get info? Most chat in forums is about ethics and legality rather than drops and locations... and I gather ringing Ospri is vague at best. Do I just throw a dart at a map and hope for the best?

Kaweka-DOC drop is delayed a bit. Not sure about private blocks. Are you flying in on your own? @LOC
Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

get the impression it is being pushed out to end July / early Aug now with a bit of pre-feeding going on already - i might be lucky to get sneak in beforehand, but would be gutted to get into a block and find pellets on the deck.

yeah in with a couple of mates @Boar Freak

With any logical sense the green pellets will get pushed back onto the poisoners where the sun don't shine.

The further west you go should be fine. Pretty sure it borders north arm/pikiawatea so anywhere from there should be well out of the way. Best to go to a lower block

thanks mate, have had a read a few days ago

does anyone have an email contact for someone at Ospri that they can PM to me? filing a request for info via their website form feels like it is going to be a painful experience

In the past I have got their contact number from DOC and gave them a call. They were really helpful and I found out what I needed, sometimes easier that way.
