    Holy shit balls batman!
This seems to suggest that the link between Possums and bovine TB has been proven . Is this the case ?
I thought there was a substantial amount of doubt, to say the least.

    Good on ya @Kooza

I'm hoping for a repeat of last year.

A bloody big snow dump just before the plan to hit the Donald.

Can you also put up the link discussed at Monday nights meeting to make a submission with regard to these planned drops.

    Cheers

It's a bit bloody rough that the northern Rimutaka's and the Haurangi's are being done in the same year, especially considering the postponement of the southern Rimutaka drop from last year to this year. So all of the Rimutaka's and the Haurangi's will be done in same year which is far from ideal for lower north island hunters.

What we should do is stop using 1080, fuck the farmers, the economic stability of the country and aim for a national lock down on animal movements.

The hunting will be awesome for the next decade until all the deer catch tb too... but at least a few hunters would be happy for a few years.

What's the other solution? We've been tapping for longer than that...still got pest issues?

I'm no fan of 1080, but I'm even less of a supporter for simply walking away from a problem.

I don't pretend to know the answer to that, but I do firmly believe that if you keep on doing the same thing over and over, you are only going to get the same results.

Different science I know, but one guy here has applied his knowledge to a pest problem, (wasps) and come up with what seems to be a very effective and viable solution in a very short time frame, specially when compared to the 1080 situation. Now if one guy can do that, it begs the question as to why no workable alternative to ariel 1080 has yet been found

I'm sure most people (including myself) would welcome it with arms wide open. But until that day...
