What's the other solution? We've been tapping for longer than that...still got pest issues?

I'm no fan of 1080, but I'm even less of a supporter for simply walking away from a problem.

We have some of the best scientists in the world. If we truly want to get rid of possums then target species specific chemical sterilisation of the males (or females) is the answer. Find the magic formula, spread it widely via baits (we already know how to do this bit) and voila seven years later (the life span of possums) there are none left to be found anywhere. Surely this is an idea worth putting research money toward.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

If trapping is so good, why do we still have possums?
