1st Roar in Gorge south of Opotiki

I have shot a wild stag on the 12th of March in the Waiatoto roaring it's head off.
Mate got one further up the ridge the next day, going nanas as well.
Same mate was waiting for the machine to return to pick up a load of deer he shot and gutted in the Cascade, and heard one going around the 7th of March.

1st Roar in Gorge south of Opotiki

I have to head back to work so miss out on my Haast block.
I usually have the last week of March off and head in then.
Don't think my new employers would like me asking for a break so soon
Got 3 weeks from the 4th or 5th off but will miss out chasing a big fella before it gets hounded this year
