Day 2
Up before sunrise, scoffed a big breakfast and went to a different area of the farm due to the mustering, same type of country and covered a heap of ground.
First up I slayed 2 horse's but we were really scouting/looking for Buff's and early afternoon got on to a mob of Donkey's, shit they are silly animals. After dropping the first Donkey the rest just seemed to beg for lead, no escapee's and 7 Donkey's for pig bait.
Used the 300 win mag on these ones, we towed them about 300 meters to a track, gps'd the spot for Matt to pick them up the next morning with the winched Landcruiser.
Then we headed back to camp approx 20k's thru an area I hadn't hunted on previous trips. Came up to a cattle watering hole to see some cattle acting strange, bugger me if it aint a DOG and the silly bugger had spotted us and stopped head on around 80 yds, 180 grain Nosler Accubond headed his way and he hit the dust. I must say it was a cracker of a shot.
Im not kidding but that's the entry wound you see there.
He was in good nick too and bloody heavy.
Back to camp for a shower, few beers and dinner. Didn't go out spotlighting that night as I was bloody tired, shit the heat sucks it out of you.
