    2019 Hunting goals

So with Boxing Day here and needing some fresh air (The mix of family farts is getting to me and the dog is sick of getting the blame)
I took a walk and thought about what I’d like the coming year to bring in the way of hunting goals.
    Here’s mine.
1 Have a great trip to Stewart Island
2 Try to see a buck while there and get it on the deck.
3 Shoot a lest one deer while home in NZ
4 Get out and get more stalking here in the uk
5 Organise a good weekend here for the French guns that have shown such great hospitality to me over the last five years.

    Cheers

Number one goal for me is to get a sika. Been on a couple of fly in trips plus a few other little missions but no success. I hope you manage to get yourself a whitetail as that would be truly epic!

Get out and shoot my first deer, and take the young fella out to a range and get him prepared for his first hunting trip. (He's been to duck opening weekend the last couple years, but is dead keen to find something bigger than a rabbit)

To actually have a decent roar hunt this year. Haven't had a serious roar hunt in years, always something else going on during that time, mucking up the plans.

    Same as last year.
Try and shoot a deer and catch a snapper off the beach in the same day.
Can shoot the deer but buggered if I can catch the Snapper. Might have to try catching the Snapper first before I run out of deer to shoot

Same goal as every year Shot a mature stag on doc land plus enough to keep my freezer full, and see some awesome sunsets and sunrises.

Yep, spend more time hunting. Both camera and rifle.
