Images from April 16th roar hunt, I hunted a very old tramline which goes along back into tight bush with the intention of climbing up onto a ridge system where the likely hood of getting onto a roaring stag was high.
Kaimai hunting can mean very fickle winds frustrating buts the nature of the game, I hit the ridge at the desired spot and had a stag roaring within metres replying to my roars :-) gentle breeze over my right shoulder and that was it he shut up shop ...... three good wallows on the ridge system so my hunch was on the money
