    Haven’t posted in a while. Typical steep Marlborough bluffs with a dead stag half way up, if I got closer the deer would be covered by tree’s because of the steepness.



    The spiker with some interesting head gear and he’s 3km from the nearest farm. 429m and 34 degree angle with a 80gr ELD-m smashed both shoulders and exited.



    A hind at 320m instant bang flop roll.

    Good to see that poor bastard out of its misery. Looks pretty messy. Was that antler snapped before you shot him? Or result of the fall?

    It was half broken and the tumble down the hill snapped it off, there was wire/string rapped around its neck too. It wouldn’t take much to get tangled up in trees.

    Ive seen that electric fence wire used at camps to sling flys on and for clothes lines etc. Not sure why you would.
