About LinkBacksthee old calibre debate, most rifles shoot stuff dead, depends what you want out of your new rifle, suppressed, range, dialling up, do you reload?
If it's not broken why fix it maybe just get a new rifle in 25 06, tikka do them.
If you want to change I would try to find a mate/ mates mate with the rifle you want and shoot it.
I have a nz hunter bushpig 308 and confident out to 300, but I am getting a rem mag for the + 300 shots, if that wall hanger stag pops out you want to nail it.
