Nice one, what were the blow flys like with that heat?
Yip, shady side of the hill just up out of the creek. Wind in our face and just stood there lookin at us - for a short time anyway.
Blowys are real bad but I just did back wheels, back steaks, and one shoulder, so all done and dusted in 10 minutes or so.
Nice going, sort of makes the deer a bit more predictable as you said.
I found a nice cool gully in the Kaimais yesterday, the dog enjoyed playing in the pools. Plenty of sign on the ridge just above, but the walk out was very warm so I was glad I didn't have to carry a deer out!
It was a good day, found a new area, dog's first walk in the bush, and she wasn't bothered at all by 308 suppressed subsonic shots. And probably cooler in the bush than at home.
Saw a stag on a clearing at 11 this morning and shot a hind on the walk out at 12.15 in Clements mill rd.hot walk on the carry out that’s for sure.
