Been hunting Erua for some time and looking to take the quad out for a venture into new land.
Has anyone been up these ways recently and able to advise what the tracks and deers numbers are like?
From what I have read there are a lot of 4wd missions going on and nature walkers out there.

I went into the traverse a couple weeks ago. Had no idea where to go and still very new to hunting but rode the quad in for about 20 minutes and walked straight into bush, seen four. There's Plenty around. Camped by carpark for three days and by the looks of the locals coming and going there were not many leaving empty handed.
Pretty dense bush for a newbie like me. But I still gave it a nudge.
