    It was hot and dry, indeed. Had two frosts but also had 25 degrees each day. Ground was bone dry.

    Didn't see any chamois but admittedly we didn't look very hard for them as we were looking so goddam hard for deer. Great country for them though, I'm sure they'd be around.
