Thread: Abrahams bay hut and area?

Just after any info on this block and facilities in the hut. ie. Matresses? Water supply? Axe? Pot belly stove? And of course animal numbers and condition (where the ten pointer hangs out)? Heading down end of the month for ten days and we are flying from the North Island, so gear and weight is at a premium. Thanks in advance.

I was in there in January, Water is good, tanks supplied off the roof. Mattresses were all there. Axe? but there was a saw. Take some coal if you can. Only one chair. Didn't get any deer. Saw 4 one day, missed one of them. Wind was very swirly. Organise a dinghy for fishing but be aware the tide goes a long way out. Paua on the rocks on both sides of the bay. Have fun down there.

Thanks for the update. Should be a good trip I hope. Haven't been down for about ten years.
