Access to Kaumira / Mt Nimrod

    Hi Team,

Just wondering if anyone knows what access is like to the Kaumira / Mt Nimrod block?
I presume the eastern side is not accessible to hunters as firearms are not allowed on the easement?
If accessing via Hakataramea Road on the western side, is the Hakataramea River a challenge to cross?

    Thanks!

Definitely no issues crossing the Haka at this time of year, might not even get your feet wet!

its a bit of a weird set up really.....heck of a lot of country is in effect landlocked unless you want to do a long walk back in from haka side.... interesting just how many arrows I have found up there.....one has to wonder if the interpretation of the rule you mention has been taken literally.....

Once you cross the river there’s a huge plain. An old bench from the earlier river. The wallaby are in the low scrub there. But they’ll pop up and be gone really fast.
