Veer off and head for the Poulter, at the start of the climb up the hill there is plenty of pig rooting sign, continue on but check weather conditions before descending the slip into the Poulter, it's ok driving down but you won't drive back up if it starts raining.

Thirty years ago I had a rather interesting view of the slip when the driver of the vehicle was distracted and wheels went off the track.
Never forgot that.
