Mate I havnt been there for years but waimiha/tiki tiki flats used to be the goods for quad hunting. There's 3 or 4 lean too shelters if you get there early enough to get one. With that said it is a popular area and I'm guessing everyman and his dogg will be there. My best beat would be to do some serious research and walk into an area that's not easily accessed and ditch the car camping thought. Piropiro Flats?? Not Tikitiki?
It will be the middle of queen street. The mountain bike trail has opened it up to a heap of people.
