    Akatarawa Forest

    Any of the Welly hunters familiar with Akatarawa, I have some (offline) questions pls. Access routes, not specific spots.

    Yep, been in there a bit.

    Never seen any thing but goats.

    Pretty wild some of it but there must be something in there other than goats

    Good for a walk with the rifle on the weekend thats nice and close

    Hi mate, i saw your post on Akatarawa forest from a while back and was just woundering if you had been in there since. Ive been in there a few times and seen some light deer sign but nothing to major??

    Hi I was up there to day found a medium size wallow with stag in the area. you would need bike or quad to get close its kindof in the middle of the place. here you go nztm n5457390

    Hi guys got my grid off map toaster seems its not to accurate thanks EBF. Heres the real grid ref nztm E 815 N 191
    Stay off the ridgeline.
    The only good assumption is to assume that movement, shape, colour, sound, is always human. Follow this rule and identify your target.
